Гандбол

Гандбол (Handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and one goalkeeper) try to score goals by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular court with a specific goal area. Players use their hands to pass, dribble, and shoot the ball, and the objective is to outscore the opponent within a set duration, typically two halves of 30 minutes each.

The origins of handball trace back to various traditional ball games, but the modern version as we know it was developed in Europe in the early 20th century. Handball is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF), which manages the rules and organises international competitions, including the World Championships and Olympic events.

Handball is known for its fast pace, requiring quick reflexes, agility, and teamwork. It is played both indoors and outdoors, with the indoor version being more prominent. The sport is popular in various countries, especially in Europe, where it enjoys significant popularity and has a vibrant professional league system.
